What to Expect and Wear

During our session you can expect a relaxed and super fun atmosphere. I want you to feel at ease and really enjoy yourself during our time together. I love getting to know my clients and capturing their true personalities. Spending time with you is literally my favorite part! I also love to see how each family has it's own dynamic and chemistry. 

With families and children you can expect both posed shots and candid. I have three children of my own and teach high school, so working with kids is my life...truly, no joke! 

Please expect to take breaks when small children are involved. Toddlers sometimes have a difficult time and don’t want to cooperate, which is completely okay. We'll work with and around them. If need be, we'll follow their lead so we can get shots of them being happy and real.

With small children it is a good idea to bring their favorite snack and/or toy(s). Sometimes the best shots are of your child being natural and playing with mom, dad or siblings. They are also great for keeping little ones busy when we photograph others in the family.

-Accessories, such as headbands, scarves, jewelry, jackets and hats can really add to your look.

-All white or black clothing works if all members of a group commit. This keeps the photograph's central focus the group as a whole and creates a sense of unity! 

- Also think of mixing up patterns. Have some plaid, some solid, some stripes and some common colors to tie everyone together. Don't be afraid to play with patterns. Sometimes these patterns and colors also help to show your personalities! 

-Props – if you have fun props, such as antique family items or items with special meaning you’d like included, please feel free to bring them! Let's make this shoot as special and memorable as possible.
